10,000 Maniacs & Lisa Lisa Added to the Star-Studded Lineup

The Palm Springs Pride Festival organizers announced the addition of two sensational musical acts to its already star-studded lineup. Joining the previously announced headliner, Idina Menzel, the festival proudly welcomes the iconic 10,000 Maniacs and the legendary Lisa Lisa for a weekend of music, celebration, and unity.

10,000 Maniacs, known for their timeless hits such as "These Are Days" and "Because the Night," are one of America's most beloved independent bands. They have been cult heroes, mainstream stars, and alt-rock trailblazers. Through it all, the creative core of the band remains, along with its trademarks of eclectic music and poetic lyrics. 10,000 Maniacs perform on Sunday, November 5, on the Hornitos Stage at 3:00 P.M.

In 2023, the band welcomed two new friends into the lineup, two faces fresh yet familiar. Lead singer Leigh Nash and guitarist Matt Slocum are founding members of Sixpence None the Richer, the Texas-bred band well known for its cover of the La's "There She Goes" and its original smash hit, "Kiss Me." The two bands have a longstanding friendship, with Sixpence opening for the Maniacs early in their career and Leigh later joining them onstage in Nashville.

One of the greatest Latin Hip Hop/Freestyle/Pop Divas to come out of the 1980s music scene Lisa Lisa of the 80's supergroup Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam brings her legendary freestyle music to Palm Springs Pride. Lisa Lisa's break-out hits such as "I Wonder If I Take You Home," "Can You Feel The Beat," and "All Cried Out" helped to launch the underground genre of Freestyle Music into the mainstream. She was the first Puerto Rican / Latino artist to cross over to the Pop and R&B charts. Lisa Lisa will perform on Saturday, November 4, on the Hornitos Stage at 7:00 P.M.

"We are thrilled to have 10,000 Maniacs and Lisa Lisa join us for this year's Palm Springs Pride Festival," said Ron deHarte, President and CEO of Greater Palm Springs Pride. "Their incredible talent and dedication to the spirit of Pride make them perfect additions to our lineup. We can't wait to see the joy and unity they bring to our festivalgoers. The festival is free to attend. No need to buy expensive party tickets. Everyone is welcome at Palm Springs Pride."

The downtown Palm Springs Pride Festival will occur on November 2-5, with a vibrant parade and a diverse array of food, craft, and community organization exhibitors. The Arenas District hosts Latin Pride on November 2 and DJs all weekend on the KGAY 106.5, Gay Desert Guide, White Party Global Stage. The addition of 10,000 Maniacs and Lisa Lisa alongside Idina Menzel and the November 2 Latin Pride Fiesta on Arenas Rd ensures that this year's festival will be a truly unforgettable experience.
