Pride Parade and Festival Information
PARKING for the PARADE
There is plenty of parking in the downtown area. Please plan to arrive a little early, as regular parking becomes scarce downtown at the start of the Parade. Consider parking away from Palm Canyon Dr. for both the Festival and Parade. A few suggestions that are only a 5 to 10-minute walk from the action include:
-
You can access the Downtown Parking Garage from Belardo Road behind the Hyatt Hotel and drive into the FREE Parking Garage. This entrance is in front of the Palm Springs Art Museum. Parking is free with a four-hour time limit.
-
You can also enter the 1,200-space underground parking structure located south of Belardo Rd. at Tahquitz.
-
Downtown Parking Structure 275 S. Indian Canyon Dr. – parking time is limited.
-
Andreas Road toward Calle El Segundo
-
Prairie Schooner Parking Lot, corner of Calle El Segundo and Andreas, behind the Hilton Hotel, Palm Springs
-
Park on E. Amado Rd. and adjacent side streets going toward the Convention Center

PARADE SPECIFIC PARKING
Please note: On Parade Day, Highway 111 will be closed to traffic at Via Escuela. Detours will take you to N. Avenida Caballeros.
-
1/3 mile east of Palm Canyon on Tamarisk to Ruth Hardy Park (this is for Parade parking )
-
1/2 mile east of Palm Canyon on Tachevah to Katherine Finchey Elementary School (this is for Parade parking)
BIKE PARKING
Bike to the Festival and park in the bike corrals at the corner of S. Palm Canyon Drive and Arenas Road, on the east side of Palm Canyon Drive in front of Welwood Murray Library, and the north parking area at the Palm Canyon Theatre. NEW - parking is available at the Arenas District Pride Flagpole at Arenas and Indian Canyon. There are bicycle-shaped racks, “hitch” bike racks, and bike corrals in the downtown area, providing hundreds of spaces for bike parking.

Can I volunteer?
We’d love your help! Outgoing and able-bodied volunteers are needed throughout the multi-day festival, preferably with two shifts – one on Saturday and one on Sunday. All volunteers who work a shift longer than five hours will receive a Pride t-shirt and a meal during their shift. To join, the online application is available under the “Get Involved” tab, followed by “Volunteer.” Alternatively, you can contact volunteer@pspride.org and include your full name and best daytime contact phone number. We will contact you to discuss the options and what works best.

Do we have to drink beer and cocktails in a fenced-in area?
Beverages can be carried throughout the event zone. Palm Springs Pride’s own beverage stations will be located throughout the festival venue. Customers will be able to purchase alcoholic beverages from one of Pride’s beverage stations and walk along Palm Canyon Drive and on Arenas between Calle Encilia and Indian Canyon.

How many people go to the festival
Two hundred thousand attendees are expected over the four festival days.
Where can I get a ticket for the festival?
The Palm Springs Pride Festival and Parade are free for everyone. We ask you to make a donation to help us keep Pride Free.

What additional security precautions can I take to make Pride safe and enjoyable?
Palm Springs Pride is a large-scale public event. Please make sure that your valuables and effects are secure. Please do not leave bags or personal items unattended. These can be a security risk and encourage crime.
Please be careful.
Don't venture around unaccompanied, especially at night. Carry a whistle and use it if you find yourself in any danger. Report anything suspicious to the nearest member of the Event Security Team or the Police. And be sure always to employ safer sex practices should you find yourself engaging in sexual activity. Make sure your friends know where and with whom you are playing.
How can my company become a sponsor or donate to the Pride organization?
If you would like to become a sponsor of the Festival or Parade, please contact Ron deHarte, Palm Springs Pride President, at (760) 416-8711 or via email at ron@pspride.org.
