As part of the official Marilyn 100 Centennial Celebration, the city is set to host a historic musical event: a once-in-a-lifetime tribute to one of Palm Springs’ most legendary residents, Hall of Fame drummer Alvin Taylor, on May 29 at the Hilton Palm Springs.
This extraordinary night will celebrate the career of a man who has shaped the sound of modern music, having performed and recorded with a "Who’s Who" of rock and soul royalty, including Little Richard, Elton John, George Harrison, Billy Preston, Eric Burdon, Fleetwood Mac Bob Welch, Cher, Jimi Hendrix, Sly & The Family Stone, Sammy Hagar and Rolling Stones Ron Wood.

“Alvin Taylor is a living legend,” states 50-year music industry legend Promotion Man Jay Rocc, and emcee-host of the May 29 event. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime, ‘THIS IS YOUR LIFE’ type extravaganza telling his story of recording classic songs with mega-legends, with an all-star band and vocalists playing these hits live as we honor this musical legend and Palm Springs icon!”
The evening features a powerhouse All-Star Band and a roster of world-class vocalists, including:
Tony Patler (Madonna, Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan)
Ronnie King (Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, The Offspring)
Max Rhode, DKupes, and Fer Fuentes
Austin Jay, hailed as "One of the Hottest Young Male Singers in America."
Keisha D, the "Diva of the Desert," is making her highly anticipated comeback in her first show following a miraculous recovery.
Additional invited special guests include Eric Burdon’s daughter, Alex Burdon, and KC and the Sunshine Band’s Oliver C. Brown.

About Marilyn 100
Marilyn 100: The Centennial Celebration in Palm Springs is a weekend-long event (May 29–June 1, 2026) honoring what would have been Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday. The highlight is a Palm Springs Pride Guinness World Record attempt on May 30, 2026, to gather the most Marilyn look-alikes near the "Forever Marilyn" statue. Organizers are aiming for 700+ participants dressed as Marilyn (in a white halter dress and blonde wig) for a synchronized martini toast, organized by Palm Springs Pride.
