In honor of what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday, Palm Springs is turning the desert platinum. We aren't just celebrating, we’re aiming for the WORLD RECORD title for the largest gathering of Marilyn Monroe look-alikes ever seen!

The Great Marilyn Record Attempt

  • When: Saturday, May 30, 2026

    • ​3-9 pm | Live entertainment, food, and beverage activations

    • 4:30-6 pm | World Record Certification

  • Where: Downtown Park, in Downtown Palm Springs, around the "Forever Marilyn" statue.

  • The Mission: To surpass the current record and fill the streets with a sea of white dresses and blonde curls.

  • All ages welcome. Everyone is included.

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, Downtown Park transforms into the ultimate birthday bash as we honor a legend in spectacular style. The festivities kick off at 3:00 PM, featuring a curated selection of delicious food vendors and breezy outdoor beverage lounges to keep the party vibes flowing.

The excitement reaches a fever pitch between 4:30 and 6:00 PM for the official Guinness World Record certification. We’ve timed it perfectly to catch that golden hour glow, ensuring every "snap" is picture-perfect. With photographers capturing the magic from the ground and the air, you’ll want to be strike-a-pose ready! As the sun sets, the energy stays high with a live band from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, followed by electric DJ sets and special guest performances. And keep your eyes peeled, on a night this big; you never know who might just jump out of Marilyn’s 100th Birthday Cake!​
