Palm Springs Pride Announces 2026 Theme: ‘Be Included’ A Call for Solidarity, Cultural Power, and Radical Joy

Greater Palm Springs Pride is proud to announce "Be Included" as the official theme for the 40th annual Pride celebration, taking place November 6–8, 2026. Greater Palm Springs Pride operates as a dedicated non-profit organization committed to advancing LGBTQ+ visibility, dignity, and equality.

“Through our year-round efforts to educate the public, advocate for civil rights, and foster authentic inclusion, we serve as a vital cultural touchstone and a powerful catalyst for the LGBTQ+ movement, driving significant economic, artistic, and social progress for the city we call home,” said Ron deHarte, President of Greater Palm Springs Pride.

"Be Included" is more than a slogan; it is a declaration of the organization's role as an essential civil rights advocate and a vital economic pillar for Palm Springs.

“This theme is an invitation to embrace your full self,” said Jasmine Sullivan Waits, Executive Director of Greater Palm Springs Pride. “In a time when fundamental rights are under persistent legislative attack across the United States, being 'included' is a meaningful act of community strength. Our goal is to ensure that every individual, regardless of where they are from, finds more than just a festival in Palm Springs; they find a foundation for empowerment and community solidarity.”

Palm Springs Pride is a significant cultural tourism and economic driver for the region. As the largest annual event in the city and the most significant gathering of LGBTQ+ people in the Coachella Valley, Pride Week attracts over 200,000 attendees. It is projected to generate $38 million in direct economic impact for local hotels, restaurants, and retail, showcasing the substantial cultural and economic influence of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

The 2026 celebration takes place during a critical juncture in American politics. "The effort to protect our rights continues in statehouses across the country," added Waits. "When we gather in Palm Springs, we are modeling the society we advocate for, one where human dignity is non-negotiable. We provide a space where you don't just 'fit in'; you are celebrated, protected, and empowered to move the conversation forward.”
