About the event
Celebrate the Tom of Finland Foundation's 40th Anniversary with a night of art, film, and cocktails. The event will feature a special screening of Tom of Finland (2017), the biographical drama by award-winning director Dome Karukoski, written by Aleksi Bardy, and starring Pekka Strang, who brings to life one of the most influential and celebrated figures of 20th-century Gay culture.
Arrive early and tour the onsite exhibition Tom of Finland: Visions of Desire, featuring unique original drawings and studies, many of which have never been exhibited. In the bar, enjoy no-host cocktails featuring Tom of Finland Organic Vodka.
The program begins at 6 pm with selected shorts by former Foundation's Artists-in-Residence. It includes a clip of the soon-to-be-released documentary House of Leather (2025), directed by Jamison Rockmore, which follows three artists exploring their creative identities at TOM House. Also featured is State of Mind (2022) by Donald C Shorter Jr (aka boy Donald) a short film that highlights the intimacy and beauty found through the experience of BDSM power exchanges.
Please plan to join us for other special events presented by the Tom of Finland Foundation during Palm Springs Pride.
