Important Traffic & Parking Information

With many people attending daily, getting around downtown Palm Springs may take a little longer. Please allow extra time when going to the Parade or Festival.

Please note: On Parade Day (Nov 3), Highway 111 will be closed to traffic at Via Escuela.  Detours will take you to N. Avenida Caballeros.

There is plenty of parking in the downtown area.

Please plan a little extra time as regular parking becomes scarce downtown as the start of the parade nears on Sunday and the festival peaks on Saturday afternoon.

The City's new Downtown Parking Garage is open and available for your parking needs.

You can access the Downtown Parking  Garage from Belardo Road behind the Hyatt Hotel and drive into the FREE Parking Garage. You can also enter the parking structure coming from the south on Belardo Rd. at Tahquitz.

Consider parking away from Palm Canyon Dr. for both the Festival and Parade.  A few suggestions that are only a 5 to ten-minute walk from the action include:

  • Park on E. Amado Rd. and adjacent side streets going toward the Convention Center

  • Andreas toward Calle El Segundo

  • 1/3 mile east of Palm Canyon on Tamarisk to Ruth Hardy Park (this is for Parade parking )

  • 1/2 mile east of Palm Canyon on Tachevah to Katherine Finchey Elementary School (this is for Parade parking)

  • Downtown Parking Structure 275 S. Indian Canyon Dr. – parking time is limited.
